Retail’s Best event focuses on forecourts

Top retailers and forecourt industry players gather to discuss sector-specific questions and smart technology solutions in a non-competitive environment
Retail’s Best Forecourt Partners, the first in a series of business events created by independent forecourt retailer Moiz Vas, proved to be a magnet for top retailers in the forecourt industry on late last month at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

The event organisers said it was successful in attracting a high-profile guest list of some 200 forecourt retailers, representing a total of over 700 sites and accounting for around 50% of the top 50 independent forecourt retailers in the UK.

Four of the biggest players in the forecourt industry – Gulf (Certas Energy), Londis, MICROS and Tokheim – jointly partnered the event, plus the Petrol Retailer’s Association (PRA) lent its official support.

Quality time with decision makers

Retail’s Best Vas said: “We’re very excited to have the support of some of the biggest players in the industry, along with a high calibre of retailers. The focus of Retail’s Best is to bring together suppliers from specific industries in a unique and non-competitive environment.

Guests were invited to join informative breakout sessions hosted by the partners, followed by a drinks and canapé reception with plenty of opportunities for networking. The highlight of the event was a reception with a gourmet dinner, entertainment and an exhibition featuring 12 companies looking to engage with retailers.
